Both Aston and Chalfont Park started this game lively with both sides having their fair share of attempts on goal but good defensive displays from both sides cancelled each other out. Damien Foote started to look like the player he was previously and showed some silky foot work to take on a couple of Chalfont players but only a corner was achieved from a good run. Aston's Kevin Pocock should have scored when Damien Foote headed the ball down for Kevin to strike over in side the area. Aston played some nice football with good first touch and passing but during an off the ball incident with Chalfont's Chris Grover standing on Kevin Pocock's foot, Chalfont managed to take the lead after 40 minutes of play with Justin Prout hitting an unstoppable strike. Half time 1-0. Aston Started the second half with the same side and within 10 minutes of the second half Chalfont park extended their lead when Aston failed to close down a Chalfont Player, Karl Iremonger slotted the ball home inside the area. Aston Started to raise the tempo now and were rewarded when Damien Foote put Chris Swift under pressure and ran on clinically slot the ball past the oncoming James Ellis. Aston continued to pressure the Chalfont defence and thought they had been rewarded for their efforts when Justin Fox who was clearly onside struck home but the Linesman who was at the other end of the pitch flagged yet again. The Ref had words and asked that he keep up with play or appoint another linesman but ruled the goal offside on the linemans decision. Justin Fox went on to level the game when he closed down on the chalfont defence to incept a pass and calmly slot the ball past Ellis. Aston continued to dominate in attack and Justin Fox saw a headed shot go just wide, and an acrobatic effort was well saved by Ellis. Dion Day and Chris Walsh also went close before the whistle sounded for full time.
